Big changes are underway. Over the next several months, all our locations will transition to our new name, Westchester Community Health Center (WCHC).
We have changed our name to better reflect the scope of services, as well as the geographic footprint that our organization serves today.
Fifty years ago, a group of Mount Vernon residents created Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center to ensure that all community members have access to affordable and quality health care.
Since then, Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center has expanded into a network of eight Westchester healthcare locations, serving tens of thousands of patients annually. As our footprint has expanded, so has the scope of primary and preventative health care services as well as social support programs that we offer.
Westchester Community Health Center is a federally qualified health center, and the chosen provider of expert and reliable health care services in a compassionate and respectful setting, to all Westchester residents, regardless of one’s ability to pay or immigration status.
