Westchester Community Health Center’s Health Initiative for Men (HIM Program) now provides extended care hours for men at its Mount Vernon location to address the unique health care of men. WCHC Mount Vernon is open every Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm to provide men with a comfortable setting to address their health issues and concerns. During their appointment, men will undergo a comprehensive physical exam by an experienced medical professional, which will include:
- Vital signs assessment
- Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation
- Heart health evaluation
- Blood pressure checks
- Diabetes risk assessment
- Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) tests
- General health screening to address immediate concerns
These comprehensive exams aim to detect health issues early, provide timely interventions, offer personalized guidance, and empower men to take control of their health and well-being to improve their overall health and quality of life.
