Nutrition counseling can help you make good food choices for your health.

Good health begins with good nutrition.

Eating well makes you feel better. Plus, it helps keep you at a healthy weight and avoid or manage chronic health conditions. Speak to your physician about getting a referral to see one of our Dietitians.

We offer one-on-one nutrition counseling

We provide the highest standard of nutrition counseling according to the principles of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and follow the evidence-based resources from their nutrition care manual. Our Certified Registered Dietitians work one-on-one with you to provide comprehensive, high-quality nutritional care and can help you:

  • understand the importance of food in maintaining good health
  • plan nutritious meals for you and your family
  • manage your weight
  • understand the role of nutrition while you are pregnant
  • address any nutrient deficiencies you might have
  • connect you to nutritious free food resources
  • develop nutrition-based therapies to help you manage diabetes, high blood pressure, and gastrointestinal disorders

Our group classes help you stay focused on your nutritional goals

Our classes can teach you about making healthy choices in your life and support you in your personal wellness journey.

Throughout the year, we offer behavioral modification and lifestyle classes to help you stay healthy such as yoga and meditation, weight-loss clinics, and support groups for managing chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension. We also offer lectures and guest speakers on various nutritional topics.

Please note: most classes have been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

Connecting you to free nutritious produce and groceries

We recognize that for many, having access to affordable, nutritious food is often a challenge.

We have partnered with Feeding Westchester, a local food bank, to distribute free, nutritious food to our patients on select days at our locations. We also have food pantries at two of our sites that are open to patients during business hours. Please consult our Food Programs and Pantries webpage to see our pick-up schedule, location address, and hours.

Expecting a new baby or have a young family?

You may qualify for free nutritious food, meal planning help, and nutrition counseling and education through the Women’s, Infants, and Children Supplemental Nutrition (WIC) Program at our Center.
