In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich cultural tapestry and vibrant traditions that define the Hispanic community. During this special time, let’s shine a light on the profound impact of art as a language of expression, connection, and belonging for individuals navigating the labyrinth of dementia and ambiguous loss.
Join us for a virtual charla where our speakers (Alicia Vera, Enedina Enriquez, Dr. Oscar Valderrama, and Paola Ogando) will share their personal journey, the cultural dimensions of grief in the Hispanic culture, understanding cognitive aging, and available resources.
The event is via Zoom. Click here to register or contact Jess Flores (Jmflores@alz.org)
The event is being held by the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association with the National Association of Hispanic Nurses and Montefiore. The event is supported in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Health.
