Food is Medicine – Mount Vernon

Food Distribution Day for WCHC Patients enrolled in the Food is Medicine Program.

The Food is Medicine Program is a nutritional resources for individuals with Type 2 Diabetes. To qualify, participants must be screened by a health care provider and have a history of diabetes and a HbA1c of 6.5% or higher. Participants must agree to attend two nutritional counseling sessions within 8 weeks of joining the program and attend educational sessions and food demonstrations which are held twice a month.
